About Mother Natures Goodies

Mother Natures Goodies was established in 2005 and is based in the South Wales Valleys. Its original purpose was simply to provide a small supplementary income for its founder Liz Oatley whilst her children were young and still at home, however the business grew much more rapidly than anticipated and 6 years on now employs 5 members of staff providing much needed employment for the local area.

Mother Natures Goodies was created in order to provide high quality natural health care products at affordable prices.

High on Quality, Low on Price

When Liz Oatley became a mother she wanted, even more than before, to try and avoid unnecessary chemicals in the products she used and yet being on a limited income as a single parent found this to be very difficult if not impossible due to the very high prices. The more research she did the more apparent it became that the raw ingredients for products were often available at very reasonable prices to companies using them, and that the consumer was ending up paying massively inflated rates unnecessarily. Worse still, an expensive price tag on an oil or product does not have any direct bearing on its quality - paying higher prices will not guarantee a better product.

This seemed very wrong when there are so many people out there who could benefit from these amazing products. So Liz Oatley decided to change this by creating Mother Natures Goodies and making these high quality products available at sensible prices.

Service and Support

We aim to offer high levels of customer service and post sales support to all our customers at all times. We accept that we are human and that sometimes things go wrong, however if they do we will do everything we can to put it right for you quickly and to your complete satisfaction. In addition we will take steps to make sure that the same problem does not happen again.

We try to provide as much information as possible about the essential oils and other products that we stock and have 2 in-house qualified holistic therapists who are always happy to answer your enquiries and can arrange to blend products for your individual needs.

We are a small, close knit team here and as such are able to offer a much more personal touch than large corporations as well as being able to change and adjust to the ever changing market place quickly.

Quality Assurance

Here at Mother Natures Goodies, assuring the quality of our produce is a top priority. We do not tolerate the adulteration of any oil and all the oils we offer are 100% pure, therapeutic grade oils. We have established close working relationships with our suppliers, and have strict in house procedures allowing us ensure

• Botanical name
• Quality control from grower throughout the whole process
• Purity through GC/MS testing
• The fragrance of the oil has the correct characteristics
• The oils are traceable by batch number allowing us to identify their age and complete history
• Compliance with EU standards and regulations
• Correct storage of the oils to maximise their shelf life
• That oils are fresh and have a long shelf life when they reach our customers

Social and Environmental Responsibility

• None of our products or their ingredients are tested on animals.
• Try to support other local businesses by trading locally and where this is not possible to support
• Try to make a difference to our local community by providing local employment opportunities, in house training, work experience opportunities, mentoring for those wishing to start a new business and gifting our goods to local organisations in order to help them raise money
• Try to make a difference to our global community by sharing our experience, knowledge, skills or finances as well as being mindful of trading fairly and paying attention to the conditions of workers producing our oils
• A clear environmental policy designed to make a real difference and regularly reviewed
• Where possible we re-use packaging we receive and our own boxes are made from 80% recycled board.
• We do not use any polystyrene or plastic fillers, instead using biodegradeable corn starch products
• All our bottles and jars are fully recyclable at your local recycling depot.
• We monitor energy consumption within our production facility and keep this to the lowest levels possible
• Source our oils with environmental and economic sustainability in mind which sometimes means refusing to stock certain oils.
